Types of garage doors
Depending on your preference there are usually 3 different types of garage doors to choose from when buying a garage from us.
Without a garage door:
Sometimes you may not want a garage door installed, this is usually the best drive-in / drive-out solution with the added protection from weather similar to a carport but with the extra walls of the building. When you select a garage without a door this also works out as a budget-friendly option, as the building will have the cut-out section for a garage door, you can always install one from an external source.
Side Hung Double Doors:
The classic garage door option, side hung doors offer an easy opening method with the traditional features of a regular door. Side hung doors, providing you have the space for the opening and closing angle can be a great budget option with the extra security over having no doors.
Up and over sectional garage door:
One of the most popular garage door styles, up-and-over garage doors are built from multiple sections which fold round a curved track that sits inside the garage roof. This makes for a seamlessly smooth opening and closing mechanism which saves space compared to a classic side-hung door. These types of garage doors are usually made from high-quality metals to enhance security and can be fitted with a secure long bar lock. The only downside to an up-and-over garage door is that the track and mechanism take internal space but this is usually very minimal and in a place that is usually not required for storage
